Google Released Pixel
Once again, Google has released an update pertaining to its Pixel devices, and it is not available for the Pixel 6 series. This is the second consecutive update this month my Pixel 6 Pro has not received which would provide it the performance enhancements and other upgrades given to subsequent models.

Google released its second monthly update for Pixel handsets this week. This follows the first October security patch that was pushed to various recent models just under a month ago.
Google releases an update for November
Google has not acknowledged this second update, but Verizon has mentioned it again on their website, which indicates the patch “provides performance improvements for your device.”
I am grateful that my Pixel 6 Pro is still being updated with new OS versions, for example, Android 17, long after its anticipated end-of-life of security patches. But, I would also like for the 6 owners to receive the performance updates that are just as important.
Are you planning on opting out of the Android 16 QPR Beta program?
Technically, the first-generation Tensor chip found in the Pixel 6 may not allow the update to technically work, but Google should not forget us about the early adopters.
We were the first to support Google’s new Pixel direction, and we put up with a bad modem and bad fingerprint scanner that got remedied in later devices.
To download the update, go to Settings > System > Software update and follow the prompts to download the update. The following file is rather small at 30MB. Google has not released any official announcements about this update, so we are unsure about what the new features and bug fixes it will bring.
The timing also raises eyebrows, as the announcement comes on the last day of October and just days before the expected November security release.
Google releases the next Android 16
This week Google released an additional Pixel update, and this time, the Pixel 6 series is included. The Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.2 is now available for a number of devices, going as far back as the Pixel 6, and the most recent Pixel phones.
This release which is apart of simply being enrolled in the Android 16 QPR2 Beta program, is focused on improving device stability. The build number for the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and6a is BP41.250916.012 and for all other eligible devices it is BP41.250916.012.A1.

Google Android 16
Android 16 QPR2—the Stable December Pixel Feature Drop—will most likely be released in December. Additionally, once the stable version is available, beta testers who wish to leave the QPR2 Beta program can do so without a data wipe, provided they opt out before installing the following update, Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1.
Android 16 Table
To make exiting the Beta program easier, wait for stable Android 16 QPR3. Then, go to www.google.com/android/beta, select View your eligible devices, and find your Pixel model. From there, you will see an “Opt out” button. Clicking this will initiate a “No Data Wipe” update.
Once your device is configured, it reverts to the stable Android build. You can join the Beta program again anytime by installing a new beta build.
Google Pixels released here each supported device in 2025
One of the best aspects of owning a Pixel phone is being the first to receive software updates compared to other devices. Google typically releases one update a month, with the October 2025 patch delivered on October 8. To our surprise, Google appeared to be early with their changes (an unexpected second October update) released on October 30.
As far as the purpose of this patch, Google has yet to specify what the patch was for, but receiving two updates in one month is a pleasant surprise.
Here’s every Pixel getting the November 2025 update

Due to the surprise of this release, it’s fair to wonder what Pixel devices are part of the rollout. Luckily, the rollout is as broad as can be and includes almost every device that received the original October 2025 patch.
Google Pixel Models
The models include the Pixel 7 series and all devices released since then, including the Pixel Fold, and the Pixel 8, 9, and 10 series. So, if you’ve got a Pixel from the last three years, then you’re eligible.

If the update hasn’t come through automatically, it can be checked by going to Settings > System > Software updates, and tapping “Check for update.”
However, some devices are not included in this rollout. The Pixel Tablet and the entire Pixel 6 family (6, 6 Pro, and 6a) are missing from this update (similarly to how they missed the first update earlier in October). All older Pixels are not included either.
This surprise update is likely minor, especially since a larger update is expected very soon—the November 2025 Pixel Drop.
