Ali‍‌‍‍‌ Haider Zaidi, the former leader of the Pakistan .

Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has officially and unambiguously rejected the idea of his return to politics. In a very clear message, he almost laughed off the idea of a comeback, and, with a lot of venom in his words, he censured the present system where “the corrupt, land grabbers, and extortionists are the ones who are blessed with power.”

Zaidi, who used to be one of the closest aides of Imran Khan, the founding chairman of PTI, after the clampdown that followed the very violent incidents of May 9, 2023, had initially left the party and political realm.

A Firm Denial of a Political Relaunch

On the social media X (former Twitter), the ex-PTI member of the National Assembly dispelled the rumors. “Let me be clear: I am not planning to enter politics anytime soon,” Zaidi said.

He had two major reasons for not doing so:

    • Personal and Financial Limitations: Zaidi after that he is in a financial situation that he can’t change and he has the commitments to his family, so he can’t go back to the political field again.
    • Dissatisfaction with the System: He was so skeptical with the political and judicial systems of Pakistan that he could hardly refrain from making this scathing attack on the ‍‌‍‍‌establishment.

Sharp‍‌‍‍‌ Criticism of the Political and Judicial System

Ali Haider Zaidi, in his departure-from-politics post, pointed out that the entire system was at fault. According to him, in a country where the corrupt are re-elected through rigged elections, true politics cannot survive.
“There is no politics in a country.

where the corrupt, the land grabbers, the extortionists, even those with blood on their hands are given power through a rigged election, protected by a compromised judiciary, which even today fails to deliver justice,” Zaidi wrote.

His remarks convey that he is out of faith with the electoral process and the judiciary’s role in providing checks and balances to powerful figures. This loss of faith is the main reason he has decided not to come into politics for the near future.

Ali Haider Zaidi, Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, has formally.

Rejected the rumors about his comeback in politics. In a clarifying statement, he announced that he has no intention of a political relaunch. Furthermore, he criticized the system as one where “the corrupt, land grabbers, and extortionists are the ones who are given power.

After the May 9, 2023 riots and the subsequent crackdown, Zaidi, who was a prominent figure in PTI and a close aide to Imran Khan, initially decided to part ways with the party and political life.

A Firm Denial of a Political Relaunch

The former PTI legislator, on the X social media platform, dismissed all speculation regarding his political comeback. “I am not going to be in politics anytime soon, let me be clear,” Zaidi ‍‌‍‍‌said.

He‍‌‍‍‌ offered two main points to explain his choice:

    • Personal and Financial Constraints: Zaidi mentioned that his financial situation and family obligations do not allow him to go back to the political arena.
    • Systemic Disillusionment: He talked about his disillusionment with Pakistan’s political and judicial systems and also made a strong critique of the establishment.

While criticizing the system, Zaidi also praised Imran Khan his ex-leader. He said that Khan was, and still is, “the only leader who really tried to change this system,” and then stated as a matter of fact that the former prime minister is now “in jail illegally. And we all know why.”

After delivering his compelling speech, the ex-minister of maritime affairs said, .

When justice dies, politics loses its purpose,” indicating that this was the main reason that made him leave politics.

Zaidi’s powerful words are aligned with a whirlwind of political events. Just hours before, the ex-PTI leaders Imran Ismail and Fawad Chaudhry met with the senior party member Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the PKLI in Lahore indicating a period of ongoing discussion and realignment within the party and around it.

Ali Haider Zaidi the ex-leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has categorically .

Denied rumors about his return to politics. In a decisive announcement, he said that he has no intention of re-launching a political career and criticized the system severely saying that it is the corrupt, land grabbers, and extortionists who get power gifted to them.

    Politics

Once a close aide of PTI’s founding chairman Imran Khan and a former minister, Zaidi initially left both the party and political scene after the large-scale crackdown that followed the May 9, 2023 ‍‌‍‍‌riots.

A‍‌‍‍‌ Firm Denial of a Political Relaunch

Ex-PTI lawmaker, X/ Twitter, threw a bomb of truth and silenced all the guessing games. Zaidi put a finger on the root of the matter when he said, “Let me be clear: I am not planning to enter politics anytime soon.”

He didn’t just give one, but two major reasons for his choice:

    • Personal and Financial Constraints: Zaidi said that his money matters and the family’s needs are the two big reasons to keep him out of politics.
    • Systemic Disillusionment: He talked about being fed up with Pakistan’s political and judicial systems in depth and then he launched a bitter attack against the establishment.

Praise for Imran Khan and a “Death of Justice.

While critiquing the system, Zaidi, however, saved a few good words for former leader, Imran Khan. In fact, he said that Khan was, and continues to be, “the only leader who truly tried to change this system,” and then added that the ex-PM is now “probably illegally kept in jail. And we all know why.”

Going beyond his point, the former minister of maritime affairs, with no hesitation, made an emphatic connection between justice and politics when he said, “When justice dies, politics loses its purpose,” and that was his main reason for his political career ‍‌‍‍‌disengagement.

Imran‍‌‍‍‌ Ismail Criticizes Current PTI Leadership.

This series of exodus-to-criticism of the fomer-PTI members, couldn’t be more loudly emphasized by Imran Ismail. In a recent interview on Geo News’ program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, Ismail massively attacked the current PTI leadership sinking the charge directly on them of ill-treatment of the jailed leader, the PTI founder, Imran Khan.

Still, Ismail explained that his recent encounter with senior PTI figure Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the PKLI in Lahore was not a political gambit.

My visit was Qureshi out of pure love and respect,” he exclaimed, “I went to meet him because I have great respect for him. I also met other PTI leaders who are in jail.

The sentiments expressed by Zaidi and Ismail .

Suggest that the former faces of the Pti are battling internally with the ongoing friction and, more importantly, are profoundly disillusioned with the party.

Imran Ismail who was the Governor of Sindh, scored a direct hit on the current Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, the ones he accused most vehemently of not caring about the party’s founder, Imran Khan, who is imprisoned.

While appearing on Geo News’ program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, Ismail doubled his criticism and added that the incumbent leaders “seem unconcerned that the party founder is in jail.” He further emphasized their attitude as “cold and indifferent.

Change Political Atmosphere Towards Less Aggressive.

One and Also Believe in Experienced Leaders. The ex-governor disclosed that the topic of his and Qureshi’s conversation about the necessity for political de-escalation had come up at his meeting with Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

When he was asked about the content of their discussion, Ismail shared that Qureshi also saw the need for lowering the political temperature in Pakistan and thus was very concerned with the current crisis in the political scenario. ‍‌‍‍‌

Besides‍‌‍‍‌ his extensive criticisms of the party’s current form.

Ismail also isolated a core group of senior figures for his particular trust. Among the people whose names he brought up are Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry, and Omar Sarfraz Cheema, leaders whom he saw as “able to steer the party in the correct way.

The endorsement of this leader makes the split between the PTI very clear which separates the leadership that is currently running the show from a group of senior members, mostly locked up, whom the dissenting ex-leaders like Ismail still recognize as the rightful guides for the party’s ‍‌‍‍‌future.
