Oppo Find X9 Pro Review
Chinese flagship smartphones are a focus of rash innovation – when you hear about a new announcement, you can almost guarantee they include at least one feature designed to wow tech geeks.
The number one feature of the Oppo Find X9 Pro has to be its 7,500 mAh battery, which is packed away in 8mm thickness. The rest of the phone is very sophisticatedly put together as well, but the battery absolutely steals the show.
Battery Oppo Find X9
I was looking forward to the Vivo X300 Pro at first, but the Oppo Find X9 Pro ended up exceeding my expectations for all the right reasons. It’s a very well-designed product with some decent software, an excellent camera, high-end performance, a very bright 3,600-nit display, and fantastic battery life.
OPPO Find X9 Pro
Benefits
- Outstanding battery life!
- Strong build quality and beautiful screen
- Excellent camera
Drawbacks
- Interface could have been a little more original
- Image quality feels like it should be better but isn’t

Oppo Find X9 Pro Design and Display
The design of the Oppo Find X9 Pro is very well done. It employs a modern flat design language with rounded corners at the top and bottom. The metal frame possesses a soft touch but remains solid in the hand even with the precise corners.
The device has Gorilla Glass on both the front and back, with the back being a fantastic matte, satin-finish that is very similar to Apple and Google’s flagship models.

The camera module has also been thoroughly redesigned from the Find X8 Pro. Where it previously had a central circular island with four sensors, the new offset squarish bump contains three rear cameras.
The camera bump on the Oppo Find X9 Pro is not small, but it is smaller than camera modules found on rival Chinese flagship devices, especially the Vivo X200 Ultra, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra; thus, it is less of a hassle.

I really like there are extra buttons: a programmable Snap Key that replaces the old ringer switch, and a dedicated camera Quick button. While they are not unique, both are undeniably useful. You can program the Snap Key to perform a specific action, and the Quick button offers fast access to the camera and zoom functionality in landscape mode.
Oppo Find X9 Pro Camera
Based on our custom camera ranking, the Oppo Find X9 Pro performs quite well in our estimation. Although its total score of 152 points is weighed down by a disappointing video score, because its ultrawide video performance is very average, the phone was awarded a still photography score of 162 points, which is amongst the highest of the year, putting it firmly amongst the best smartphone options for still photography.
That’s attributed to the extremely respectable hardware.
The primary camera employs Sony’s latest LYT-828 sensor, which produces an impressive 17 stops of dynamic range thanks to its new High Frequency HDR. It’s a 1/1.28-inch sensor rather than a larger 1-inch sensor, but it produces amazing results. All ultrawide and front cameras are configured with Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensors.

Zoom performance
The zoom performance of the Oppo X9 Pro is exceptional, especially with its 200MP camera which offers stunning quality up to 10x. After that level, the quality is above average but does degrade slowly as the AI Telephoto Zoom begins to kick in.

Video Quality
While video performance is robust, it is clearly not as impressive as stills. You can shoot at 4K@120fps, record Live Photos during video recording, switch between all rear and front cameras seamlessly, and shoot video in LOG and Dolby Vision.
The image output is good quality with good dynamics; however, the ultrawide and telephoto cameras are slightly oversharpened. However, overall, the videos are quite good.

Oppo Find X9 Pro Performance and Benchmarks
The Oppo Find X9 Pro exhibits stunning performance. It is equipped with MediaTek’s latest 3nm chip, the Dimensity 9500, which gives phenomenal raw performance and excellent power efficiency. This means MediaTek chips can no longer be viewed as subpar chips, and are now rivaling the leading chips made by Qualcomm and Apple while providing stellar battery life.
Oppo Find X9 Pro
With respect to both single-core and multi-core benchmarks, the Oppo Find X9 Pro shows commanding performance. It surpasses the Galaxy S25 Ultra in single-core testing and is at least on par with the Vivo X300 Pro with the same silicon. The iPhone still slightly outscores the Oppo on single-core tests, but gap is negligible with respect to multi-core tests.
Oppo Find X9 Pro Software
Let’s be honest: Oppo’s new ColorOS 16 is an unabashed homage to iOS—stealing a lot of features from iOS 26—including some obvious Liquid Glass design elements. To my surprise, I’ve kinda liked it.
At this point, Chinese phone manufacturers definitely respect Apple’s design legacy and they naturally borrow and imitate the successful elements of its mobile operating system. For how long it has been happening, it is not a productive reason for frustration anymore. In fact, I’ve recently started enjoying identifying those typical elements, almost as if they were a form of “Where’s Waldo?” designed for me.

Oppo Find X9 Pro Battery
Five years ago, it was hard to believe that we would see an 8mm-thick phone with a 7,500 mAh battery. But that is exactly what we have with the Oppo Find X9 Pro, which has a huge silicon-carbon battery that works extremely well with the Dimensity 9500 chipset.

Phone Arena Battery Test Results:
Our tests back this up; the Oppo Find X9 Pro has the best battery life we have seen in two years. It lasted an incredible 25 hours, and 30 minutes, in our web browsing test, and 13 hours and 30 minutes in the video playback. Its gaming score of just over 11 hours was its lowest score, and even that is very impressive!
It has 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. However, the Oppo Find X9 Pro is not the fastest to go full charge. Using Oppo’s powerful SuperVOOC chargers, it takes 80 minutes to reach 100% for the oppo find x9 pro. Still when it hits 50% in just over 30 minutes, a full charge should last for almost an entire days intensive use.
Audio Quality and Haptics of the Oppo Find X9 Pro
Thanks to Oppo not trying to create an overly slim form factor, there is enormous internal volume available. This means that the speaker system has the spacial room for a more natural sound to reverberate. The lone bottom speaker has more than adequate low-end bass, and the lone top tweeter has excellent high-end clarity and detail.
At maximum volume, the audio experience is clean; you won’t hear any distortion. Other Android devices may be slightly louder, but the audio experience is otherwise remarkable. The haptics are exceptional, as well—crisp and accurate with a wide range of vibration strength and intensity customization options.
