Maryam Nawaz Sharif , the Chief Minister of Punjab has launched the “Punjab Dhee Rani Program.” This collective marriage plan aims to help families in poor economic conditions.
The program aims to provide necessary financial support towards wedding expenses so these families can celebrate their daughters’ marriage with dignity and give them an opportunity for a happy and secure start to married life.

However, with the current economic climate of the country and bulk financially constrained population, numerous underprivileged parents cannot execute this obligation for their children.
This collective marriage programme would also foster a sense of government support, hope and stability in society.
Eligibility Requirements
- Bride Profile: The bride must be a woman within the age range of 18 to 40 years old who is poor, an orphan, a Person with Disability (PWD), or a daughter of a PWD.
- Applicant: The applicant can be the bride herself or her father, mother, or legal guardian.
- Domicile: The applicant must be a resident of Punjab.
- Selection Procedure: In the case of oversubscription, a transparent process of electronic balloting will be used for selection.
- Documentation Needed: A sworn affidavit stating that the bride is not married presently and is in agreement to participate in the collective wedding ceremony.

- The bride will be presented with a monetary gift of 200,000 rupees from the Chief Minister, which will be disbursed through an ATM card.

Criteria for Participating:
- To be eligible, eligible brides must:
- – Be between the ages of 18 and 40; and
- – Be classified as indigent, orphaned, a Person with a Disability (PWD), or a daughter of a PWD.
How to Apply:
- The application can be submitted by the bride or her father, mother, or legal guardian. However, the application must be domiciled in the province of Punjab.
- If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spots, the final decision will be made through a transparent electronic balloting process.
- A sworn affidavit is required to confirm the bride’s unmarried status and her consent to participate in the mass wedding.
Wedding Gifts by CM Punjab
Every bride receives a wedding gift package worth PKR 206,000 for setting up the new home. These gifts include:
- A Holy Quran and a Prayer mat.
- A wooden double bed, mattress, and mirror.
- A dinner set and other general household items.
The purpose of these wedding gifts is to provide the couple with basic support they will need in order to get on their feet and start their lives.
Cash Gift for the Bride
Every bride will also receive a cash gift of PKR 100,000 as salami from the Chief Minister of Punjab. Processed through a secure ATM card, the cash can be easily accessed by the bride for her personal use or to assist her in creating her new home.
Shared Wedding Events
This initiative will marry 3,000 poor girls from Punjab through a shared wedding celebration in different locations to facilitate this for the families. This helps minimize costs for individual families to celebrate and provides a more shared celebratory atmosphere.
